This is a blog about the sport of Rugby League. To its fans, it is known as The Greatest Game, and this blog aims to comment on the issues and events that surround the game, and to give people another venue to visit about the 13-man code.
Michael Gonta is the main writer of XIII. He started watching Rugby League some time in 1994, and just about remembers Great Britain’s victory against Australia at Wembley in the first test. After losing touch with the game he rediscovered it again during the 2000 World Cup and has been hooked ever since, even now playing it (and goddamn, it’s hard work!). In the interest of full disclosure, he is a London Skolars fan, with a soft spot for Harlequins as well.
